The Women’s Studies Centre, Thiagarajar College, Madurai – 09, organized a series of competitions on 17 March 2026 to commemorate International Women’s Day, based on the theme “Give to Gain.” The programme aimed to promote creativity, self-expression, empowerment, sharing, and social responsibility among students.

Students from various departments enthusiastically participated in Pencil Sketching, Poster Making, Essay Writing, Poem Writing, Elocution, and Rangoli competitions in Tamil and English. The activities provided a platform for students to express their ideas on generosity, equality, empowerment, and social contribution.

The competitions were judged by Dr. R. Aruna, Dr. G. Selvarakku, Mrs. B. Anuradha, and Mrs. Thulasi Kannan, based on creativity, originality, presentation, and relevance to the theme. Certificates were awarded to the winners in recognition of their performances.
