The Women’s Studies Centre of Thiagarajar College, Madurai – 09, in collaboration with AVN Arogya Ayurvedic Hospital, organized a Health Camp for Female Faculty Members on 27th February 2026 at 9.30 a.m. at Manimeghalai Illam, in alignment with SDG – 3 (Good Health and Well-being). The programme aimed to promote preventive healthcare and create awareness about women’s health and holistic well-being.
The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. R. Aruna, Director, Women’s Studies Centre. The health camp was conducted by Dr. S. Sheha and Dr. P. Keerthika from AVN Arogya Ayurvedic Hospital, with the assistance of Nurse M. Pechiammal. Participants received individual medical consultations, blood pressure checks, and guidance on diet, lifestyle, stress management, and preventive care based on Ayurvedic principles.
A total of 133 beneficiaries, including inmates, staff members, and housekeeping staff, benefited from the camp. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the medical team and participants for making the camp successful.
