National Service Scheme
About NSS
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a prominent Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Launched in 1969, its primary objective is to develop the personality and character of student youth through voluntary community service. Guided by the motto "Not Me But You," the program encourages students to understand the social environment and help the underprivileged. Participants engage in various activities such as rural development, environmental conservation, and health awareness camps. Ultimately, NSS fosters a sense of social responsibility and democratic living among the student community.
