Quality Circle
About QC
The Quality Circle was set up in Thiagarajar College in 2016, with the objective of improving the overall quality of the institution, and to invest importance in interpersonal relationships, productivity, workplace organisation, eliminating wastefulness, and helping the efficient use of infrastructure. The Quality Circle involves student participation in maintaining quality and 5S standards.
There are Quality Circles within the institution, with groups of student volunteers from each class who desire to improve themselves in various fields. The Quality Circle organises periodical programmes and events for the information of students who wish to make excellence a benchmark in their day-to-day activities.
Cultural events, seminars and webinars are also part of the Quality Circle activities. Students come forward to declutter places around the campus and give new purpose to such decluttered places. A Poster Making Competition is conducted among the Quality Circle students to enhance awareness and creativity.
The Quality Circle also provides students with an alternative to the conventional method of learning through classroom instruction, allowing them to participate in different learning processes. At the end of the fourth semester, students are encouraged to submit projects and take viva voce as the concluding process of this Part V Programme.
